Description

Its structure helps counteract subluxation of the carpometacarpal joint and immobilizes both arthritic or unstable carpometacarpal joints and hypermobile metacarpophalangeal joints. The material can be thermally molded for individualized fitting and incorporates a sweat-absorbing inner lining. Radial wrist mobility remains unrestricted. Separate right- and left-hand versions are available.

INDICATIONS

• Conservative and post-operative treatment of the thumb and fingers.
• Previous fractures involving the thumb metacarpophalangeal joint, first metacarpal, or carpometacarpal joint.
• Ligament instability of the thumb.
• Arthrosis of the thumb metacarpophalangeal joint.
• Moderate rhizarthrosis with marked subluxation.
