Anterior Cervical Plate System

Description

Osmium is a cervical plate system designed for anterior spinal stabilization. The implant immobilizes the fusion segment until bone graft consolidation occurs. A key feature of the system is monocortical fixation using the Osmium screw, which consists of a primary screw and an expansion screw that deploys as it is tightened. This expansion mechanism enhances stability and maximizes screw retention, even in patients with compromised bone quality. Alternatively, cancellous screws allow for monocortical or bicortical fixation. Different screw types can be combined as needed.

Indications

Instabilities caused by various conditions, including those resulting from prior anterior discectomy, fractures, tumors, or pseudoarthrosis following unsuccessful previous cervical spine surgeries.
