PICO™ 14 is a portable, single-use negative pressure wound therapy —NPWT— system designed to manage closed surgical incisions and hard-to-heal open wounds.

The system delivers a nominal negative pressure of −80 mmHg without requiring an exudate canister. Exudate is transferred into the absorbent layers of the dressing, where it is retained, while a proportion of the moisture is removed through controlled evaporation.

Its AIRLOCK™ Technology helps distribute and maintain negative pressure across the dressing, including on challenging body contours. The pump supports a treatment period of up to 14 days, while dressing changes are determined by wound condition, exudate level and professional clinical assessment.

INDICATIONS

PICO™ 14 is indicated for patients who may benefit from negative pressure wound therapy through the removal of low to moderate levels of exudate and infectious materials. Appropriate wound types include:

• Acute wounds.
• Chronic or hard-to-heal wounds.
• Traumatic wounds.
• Subacute wounds.
• Dehisced wounds.
• Closed surgical incisions.
• Partial-thickness burns.
• Pressure ulcers.
• Diabetic foot ulcers.
• Venous leg ulcers.
• Flaps and grafts.
• Larger open wounds when used with an appropriate compatible wound filler.

For venous leg ulcers, PICO 14 may be used with graduated compression therapy following an appropriate vascular assessment.

PICO™ 14 must be prescribed and applied by trained healthcare professionals. Dressing-change frequency and the use of wound fillers must be determined according to wound characteristics and the manufacturer’s instructions.
