BioDBM Bone Matrix

Demineralized Bone Matrix BDM

Description

BioDBM® is a demineralized bone matrix rich in morphogenetic proteins, derived from human cortical bone. It is a safe, osteoinductive implant, supported by an aseptic manufacturing process and terminal sterilization. Unlike other DBMs, Biograft’s BioDBM is supplied as a lyophilized powder without a carrier. This allows it to be prepared as a gel or putty according to the surgeon’s preference, even during the surgical procedure itself.

Patient-specific conditions are as critical as product quality for successful integration. BioDBM is indicated as an adjunct in surgical procedures within orthopedics, traumatology, maxillofacial surgery, and neurosurgery, as well as in the following applications:

  • Treatment of bone tumors that result in osseous defects or cavities requiring filling.
  • Management of fractures involving bone tissue loss due to trauma.
  • Reconstruction of mandibular defects or bone loss in the jaw or maxilla.
  • Alveolar defects in the maxilla or mandible requiring enhanced bone support.
  • Treatment of cranial defects following trauma with associated bone loss.
  • Adjunct to spinal surgeries, including posterior or anterior instrumentation, where segmental fusion is the objective.

Benefits:

  • Osteoconductive properties that support and accelerate bone regeneration.
  • Sourced from a certified tissue bank.
  • Sterile and safe product.
  • 2-in-1 presentation: can be prepared as a gel or putty depending on surgical requirements.
  • Excellent cost-effectiveness with a lower cost per cc of true demineralized bone matrix.
