Description

ALLEVYN ADHESIVE is an absorbent hydrocellular dressing made from three layers that work together to manage exudate and protect the wound. It features a breathable, waterproof outer film, an absorbent hydrocellular core, and a microperforated wound-contact layer coated with hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive.

The adhesive border helps keep the dressing securely in place without additional fixation in most applications. Its rounded edges support conformity to the body and help reduce premature lifting.

Indications

It is indicated for superficial or deep, granulating wounds with different levels of exudate, including:

• Pressure ulcers.
• Venous and other leg ulcers.
• Diabetic foot ulcers.
• Postoperative wounds.
• Surgical wounds healing by secondary intention.
• Traumatic wounds.
• First- and second-degree burns.
• Skin graft donor and recipient sites.
• Ulcerated fungal lesions, according to professional assessment.
• Skin cracks and exuding skin lesions.
• Infected wounds when used as part of the prescribed antimicrobial treatment.
• Pressure injury prevention as part of a comprehensive protocol.
