Description

ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER AG is an antimicrobial hydrocellular dressing comprising a protective outer film, an absorbent core containing 5% silver sulfadiazine, and a microperforated wound-contact layer with a soft-silicone border.

Its design allows direct fixation to the surrounding skin and repositioning during application. The combination of absorbency and antimicrobial activity helps manage exudate and bacterial burden, while the silicone contact layer supports gentle removal.

Indications

It may be used on acute and chronic exuding wounds with risk of infection, critical colonization, or local infection, including:

• Pressure ulcers.
• Venous ulcers.
• Diabetic foot ulcers.
• Postoperative wounds.
• Open surgical wounds.
• Traumatic wounds.
• First- and second-degree burns.
• Skin graft donor and recipient sites.
• Superficial or deep granulating wounds.
• Ulcerated skin lesions.
• Pressure injury prevention as part of a comprehensive clinical protocol.
